A musical instruments company formed by Ikutaro Kakehashi in 1960. The company sold many instruments and devices mostly under the trademark Ace Tone, including combo organs, guitar amplifiers, and effects. In the world of electronic music, Ace is noted mainly for creating some of the first solid-state drum machines. Kakehashi left Ace in 1972 to launch Roland.
