Dom Whiting is a British DJ known for organizing and livestreaming open DnB bike rides.
History[]
Until 2020, Dom Whiting was a regular DJ playing in UK clubs. After the entertainment venues closed for months due to COVID-19, he decided to start livestreaming outdoor DnB sets on Facebook. The first two from August 2020 were stationary, but in September 2020 he built a special rickshaw with a DJ deck at the back, where he played as a passenger. In November 2020, he built a new bike that allowed him to play and drive at the same time. As Whiting's livestreams popularity on social media started growing quickly in 2021, other cyclists began to join his rides, turning them into a massive bike-raves of several thousand people. In 2022, Whiting's rides expanded also beyond the UK, taking place for the first time e.g. in Belgium, Germany and Spain.[1][2]
