Drumstep is a fusion genre of drum and bass (DnB), mainly Jump-Up and dubstep, mainly brostep that emerged in the late 2000s and early 2010.
Characteristics[]
Songs of this genre have the same tempo as DnB songs. Some songs use more traditional dubstep rhythmic structures just sped up, whereas others copy more directly from DnB's rhythms. Many subgenres of dubstep (especially the new brostep ones) have drumstep variations as the genre is very versatile and can be applied to just about all subgenres of dubstep.
Examples of Drumstep[]

- Roy Knox: Lost in Sound (melodic drumstep and brostep)
- Netrum: Pixie Dust (colour bass and liquid drumstep)
