A former division of Roland, established in the late 1970s. Edirol's main market focus was in desktop media production, with products such as video editors and processors. It did make some products used in electronic music, mainly master keyboards, and MIDI interfaces. Roland phased out the Edirol name in the late 2000, phasing out the products that competed with Roland products and moving the desktop media products under the Roland brand name.
