Melodic Drumstep is a subgenre of Drumstep that has drops that focuses on the melody, unlike Brostep, which uses growls. While Brostep drops focus on growls and heavy elements with occasional melodic sections, Melodic Drumstep is the opposite. It has melody most of the time, with an occasional growl going with the melody as the Bassline. Like Brostep, Melodic Drumstep has a snare on the 3rd beat, unlike Riddim, which has a kick and a clap combined. Dubstep variations are the same, but with a slower tempo.
