Peter Lurye
Peter Lurye is a composer and lyricist who worked on the soundtrack and a variety of songs for Eureeka’s Castle and Bear in the Big Blue House (Seasons 1-3) and also wrote many songs for these shows. He also wrote the theme song for The Animal Jam and in addition wrote the theme song for another Playhouse Disney series, Stanley. Peter Lurye also wrote songs for The Book of Pooh (2001-2002) (Seasons 1-2), which had numerous other Muppet crew connections.
Lurye wrote the theme song and score for The Magic School Bus, as well as the theme song for Gullah Gullah Island and several other songs with the Big Blue House song composer, Billy Cobin. Lurye was also called to write a Christmas-themed version of the theme song for the popular The Jim Henson Company series A Berry Bear Christmas.

One of the most interesting things about Peter, While he was working on Eureeka’s Castle, he shares the same Instrumental Samples that Barney and Friends Music Director David Wolf uses.(It was also at the same time when David was working on his own music for Chuck E. Cheese.) After that, his music style would later change to a bit more authentic on Bear in the Big Blue House.
