Ramp generator

A circuit that generates a control voltage that starts at a given voltage level, and then rises or falls to a target voltage level over a desired period of time. Ramp generators have a number of uses in synth where the circuit itself is often not apparent; for instance, controlling the level of an LFO that is being routed to a VCO, so that vibrato is introduced to the VCO gradually after the start of the note.
