A synth manufacturer based in London, producing modular synthesis equipment in the Eurorack format, as well as a few tabletop synths. Rebel Technology focuses on digital methods of synthesis and signal processing, and it works under the ethos of open source software and open hardware design. The company's most notable product is the Owl, a non-dedicated signal processing module having two audio inputs, five control voltage inputs, two audio outputs, and a set of soft knobs. The specific functions of these depends on the code that is loaded; the platform is fully documented and users and third parties are welcome to write their own code for it. New code is loaded via a built-in USB interface. Rebel maintains a library of user-contributed software for the Owl on its Web site.

Other products include effects, control voltage processors, and various algorithmic sequencers. A quirk is that some modules are named using Greek terms, and the names on the module face plates are spelled out with Greek letters. Other products include a module which includes inputs and outputs that are interfaced to a wi-fi Ethernet link, and can be controlled by a phone or computer with a wireless interface.
