The oldest type of Dubstep, UK Dubstep uses simplistic and retro sounds. Instead of heavy electronic drums, it uses realistic sounding drums. This genre is similar to Deep Dubstep and Chillstep, but it’s less dark and calm; more simple. A UK Dubstep song might have plucks and a sub bass instead of leads and growls.
